Wren Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-09 Version: 0.2 (private beta)
Plain-language terms for the Wren private beta. This is a starting document created in spec 047 (US3, FR-016) to carry the best-effort-delivery clause; it is not a complete, lawyer-reviewed Terms of Service. The full review is tracked internally as an open item alongside the privacy posture (LEGAL-001).
1. What Wren is
Wren turns articles you save into spoken audio digests for your own personal listening. It is a personal-use tool, currently in private beta.
2. Best-effort delivery (no guaranteed timing)
Wren generates your podcast on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee a specific delivery time, and in particular we do not guarantee that a free-tier episode will be ready by any given hour or day. Generation depends on third-party services (including AI and text-to-speech providers) that can be temporarily slow, rate-limited, or unavailable. When that happens, your episode may be delayed or, in rare cases, may not be produced for a given period. We retry on your behalf and aim to deliver as promptly as we reasonably can, but timely or uninterrupted delivery is not part of these terms.
3. Personal use and export
Wren is for your own personal listening. The audio and scripts Wren produces are personal, derivative digests of articles you chose to save, generated at your request, for you.
Wren includes personal export actions that hand you a copy of your own generated audio file or script — for example to save it to Files, AirDrop it to your own computer, or keep it on another of your devices. Exported audio and scripts are for the account owner's personal use across their own devices only. You agree not to redistribute them, post them publicly, or provide them to third parties — no re-hosting, no public links or feeds, no playing them for an audience. Wren itself provides no public hosting, discovery, or redistribution surface for generated audio.
4. Beta status
Wren is in private beta. Features, limits, and availability may change, and the service may have interruptions. We may modify or discontinue features during the beta.
5. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is an immediate hard delete of your Wren-side data; see the Privacy Policy for what that covers and the handling of third-party processors.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Wren develops. Material changes will be reflected in the version and date above.
